Wildlife/Animal Damage Control Operative -Position Description:

The duties and skills required of a Wildlife/Animal Damage Control Operative include but are not limited to the following:

• Management of Wildlife, Feral Animals and Birds in urban and rural situations.
• Working in and upon roofs, in confined areas, under buildings.
• Working in extreme weather conditions
• Working in remote locations
• Performing repairs on buildings, fences etc. damaged by animals
• Ability use hand and power tools
• Ability to lift heavy objects such as ladders, large animals etc
• Ability to drive motor vehicles including 4X4 and heavy vehicles.

Qualifications & Experience

A degree or similar tertiary qualification in relevant areas; Biology, Zoology etc would be an advantage.

Experience in: Pest Management, Wildlife/Animal Handling, Animal and Bird Trapping, Building Repair would be an advantage.

Licences
Applicants who hold any of the following licences would be preferred: Current Commercial Wildlife Controllers Licence (Type 1)

Current Victorian Firearms Licence in Categories A,B,C and D(or equivalent): Current Registration as a Pest Control Technician
Current Registration as a Pest Control Operator
